Large bed-type surface grinder with traveling column (instead of saddle) for cross movement (Y axis) offers high precision grinding for heavy work piece. Programmable spindle downfeed system available as option. (Photo in features section).

FEATURES:

One piece T shape base casting ensures perfect alignment of longitudinal and cross movement.
Cross movement of spindle is done by a traveling column instead of a saddle, for high accuracy grinding. Traveling column is made out of honeycombed ribbed casting for rigidity.
The slide way that the table travels on is 70% longer than the table itself, and the length of the bed ways on the base is twice that of the table slide way, to ensure no over hang at all grinding conditions.
Automatic cross feed with intermittent and continuous mode.
Ballscrew is installed for precise cross movement.
Slide ways are hand scraped and TURCITE coated for higher wear resistance.
High precision spindle is supported by multiple anti-friction bearings adjusted radially and axially for greatest accuracy. They are permanent sealed with high quality grease for minimum maintenance.
Hydraulic system used is a free standing unit, isolated from the grinder to prevent heat built up and vibration from the hydraulic pump.
Automatic lubrication system.
Optional automatic spindle down feed system with user friendly control.

THE PROGRAMMABLE SPINDLE DOWNFEED SYSTEM (optional)
The system is built specifically for the surface grinder to take over the control of spindle wheel downfeed movement. The numerical control system allows the operator to synchronize spindle vertical feed with longitudinal and cross feed of table for various grinding modes, such as plunge grinding or slot grinding.
